Sometimes I get in a little beauty rut. Meaning, I wear my hair much the same every single day and my makeup rarely changes. But I think I'm ready to shake things up. I'm dreaming of bolder eyes. Some longer lashes and a slight cat eye. And I'm seriously loving this girl's full.big.curly.messy hair. I'm usually not one for big hair, but this style is blowing my mind. Ummmm hello pretty!
The other day as I was heading out the door, I gave myself one last glance in the mirror and decided that my hair wasn't quite cooperating. I had little time to do any major fixes, so I popped on a beanie and I have to admit, I really liked the final look. Nothing like a hat to fix a bad hair day. Oh and a swipe of red lipstick always brightens my mood. Happy Friday everyone!

Every since I pinned this, I can't get it outta my head. I'm not sure if this two-toned lip would appear completely wacky in real life, but I might have to just give it a spin. My husband took this photo of me over the weekend and it cracked me up. Yep, there I am in my new polka dot sweater about to dive into the latest J.Crew with polka dots on the cover. ha! I guess I have been a little obsessed with dots lately. I picked up a few items recently at a steal, and I think all of you should have them too! This sweater from Old Navy is under $20 (yipppeee!) and these cute little makeup bags from Forever 21 are wayyyy too much fun. I mean if you don't need one, I think they'd make adorable gifts.
What is your beauty routine? My daytime look is straight hair worn down with a swipe of mascara and a touch of lip gloss. For the evening, I've been creating beachy waves and adding a bold lip. Isn't it sooo true that you always want what you can't have? When I was younger I didn't quite like my stick straight hair, always wanting something with a little more volume. But now I completely love my straight hair. It's so easy to do, and I can easily add in a little curl to achieve some body.
